If you already own a Spirit-sized bag

Keep it if it suits the airline operating your next trip. A bag sold for Spirit is a product description, not a current transport entitlement. Measure its outside dimensions, then compare them with the new carrier and fare using the bag checker.

For a replacement itinerary, identify the actual operating airline on every segment. Check whether an overhead bag is included and whether personal-item dimensions or weight limits differ. Old Spirit prices and allowances do not carry over to another airline.
