Jamestown: Accra's colonial-era fishing quarter is atmospheric and photogenic. Streets are busy and uneven — wear comfortable flat shoes. It is safe for visitors but go with a local guide or join a walking tour.

Labadi Beach (La Beach): The main public beach east of central Accra. Weekends are busy and lively with music. A swimsuit, towel, and flip flops are enough.

Kumasi day trip: By road (4–5 hours each way) or by domestic flight from ACC. The Kejetia market in Kumasi is one of West Africa's largest — bring a cross-body bag and keep valuables minimal in market settings.

Customs — What Not to Bring

Ghanaian customs officers are thorough. Do not attempt to bring:
