Before departure
Measure the fully packed bag, including protruding wheels, handles and pockets. Weigh it after packing. A stated size or weight limit is not a tolerance: 8.1 kg exceeds an 8 kg limit. Check every flight on a connection, including the operating carrier and booked allowance.
Family travel
An infant without a seat has no separate main cabin bag. Necessary baby food plus one stroller, car seat OR baby carrier may be brought; the equipment is handed over for the hold. A child with a seat may use a suitable car seat in the cabin. Children up to 4 years may have one folding stroller carried free; ask staff where to collect it.
Security and gate collection
Business may be limited to one main bag on some aircraft. A garment bag up to 57×54×15 cm is an alternative published for Business; the checker uses the standard bag box. A bag required to travel in the hold because of aircraft limitations is carried free. Excess baggage may incur charges; the source does not establish a universal €50–100 fee.
