Qatar Airways Carry-On: 7 kg Economy and 15 kg Combined

Qatar Airways publishes 50 × 37 × 25 cm per cabin bag in every cabin. The number of bags and their weight depend on your ticket.

For travel to or from Brazil, Qatar publishes a 10 kg Economy allowance. Departures from the US are limited to one cabin bag plus one personal item. Check the itinerary and operating carrier before relying on an exception.

Laptop and extra items

Qatar permits a small purse or small briefcase in addition to cabin baggage but does not give a separate numerical size or weight for it on this page. A laptop must fit inside your cabin bag; a separately carried laptop bag counts as a cabin bag. Do not plan on an extra full laptop bag outside the Economy allowance.

Other listed additional items include a coat or blanket, umbrella, crutches, a small camera/binocular case, limited reading material and duty-free purchases made on the day of the flight. Airport security and connection rules still apply.

Measure and weigh before leaving

Measure the packed bag's outer dimensions and weigh it with its contents. In Business/First, add both bags together: 8 kg + 7 kg = 15 kg; 8 kg + 8 kg exceeds the allowance. The bag checker checks one bag and cannot certify the combined weight. Use the route checker for another carrier on the trip.

Children and checked luggage

An infant on an infant fare has no cabin-baggage allowance. The published checked allowance is one 23 kg piece to/from Africa or the Americas, or 10 kg on other routes. A child fare, including an infant with a booked seat, receives the adult allowance for that ticket. One stroller or carrycot is free; a car seat requires a separately booked seat and airline acceptance.

Liquids and power banks

Qatar publishes 100 ml containers in a transparent resealable quart/litre bag up to 20 × 20 cm, with reasonable baby-food and special-diet exceptions. Confirm security rules for departure and transfer airports.

Ordinary power banks: at most two, each up to 100 Wh, in cabin baggage. Charging the power bank is prohibited. Using it to charge a device is allowed outside critical flight phases under direct supervision, not inside a bag or overhead compartment while charging.
