Wizz Air Checked Baggage: Weight Tiers, Size and Booking Checks

Wizz Air offers 10, 20, 26 and 32 kg checked-bag options. Its Basic fare does not include a checked bag. WIZZ Go and WIZZ Plus bundles include checked baggage, but confirm the exact allowance on your booking. A checked suitcase and a Priority cabin trolley are separate entitlements.

Pick the weight tier for your packed bag

The official checked-baggage page allows up to six checked pieces per passenger per flight. The first three can be paid online; further pieces are paid at the airport. Fees apply per piece. Confirm the allowance for each flight and passenger, including the return journey.

Measure three sides

The published maximum dimensions are 149×119×171 cm. These are three side limits, not a 275 cm combined-size rule. Check special items separately with Wizz Air; the ordinary suitcase figures do not establish acceptance for every object or its contents.

What price should you use?

Use the quote shown for the actual booking and selected weight tier. We do not have a verified universal online price or airport flat fee. The official page says additional checked pieces bought at the airport cost more; this does not establish that the first checkout is always the cheapest possible purchase time.

The excess-baggage paragraph currently quotes EUR 13 per kg for the weight ranges it describes, between 10 and 20 kg or between 20 and 32 kg. It does not separately explain how that paragraph applies to the 26 kg tier. Confirm the applicable charge with Wizz Air if exceeding your purchased allowance; do not use the old EUR/GBP 12 figure or treat paying a surcharge as permission to exceed acceptance limits.

Keep cabin and checked baggage separate

The free cabin bag is 40×30×20 cm and 10 kg. WIZZ Priority adds an overhead bag 55×40×23 cm and 10 kg. Buying a checked bag does not by itself add Priority. A 10 kg checked bag is a hold-baggage product, even though the small cabin bag has the same weight ceiling.

Children and equipment

The children’s baggage policy allows specified foldable child equipment to be tagged and placed in the hold when the child travels. A compact stroller within 55×40×23 cm can replace a purchased cabin trolley, rather than becoming an extra cabin piece. Motorized strollers are not accepted.

A lap infant has an additional 40×30×20 cm bag of up to 10 kg, but a trolley or checked bag cannot be purchased in the infant’s name. Booking an extra seat under the car-seat conditions removes the additional infant-bag allowance. Confirm the particular equipment and seating arrangement with the airline.

Before leaving home

1. Check every flight’s purchased weight and number of pieces.
2. Weigh and measure the fully packed suitcase.
3. Review the official restricted-item rules and airport conditions separately.
