LOT Carry-On: Economy, Business and US Route Exceptions

LOT Economy, including Saver, includes one 55×40×23 cm main bag up to 8 kg, plus one small personal item 40×35×12 cm, up to 2 kg. Business and Premium Economy allowances depend on the destination.

Cabin allowance by route

The main-bag size is 55×40×23 cm, with a sum of no more than 118 cm. The personal-item allowance is additional. These are LOT-operated-flight rules; confirm the actual operator and every segment. The current non-US long-haul table lists the destinations shown above; do not extend that table to an unlisted route.

Packing and airport handling

Measure your packed bag and weigh each item. Consolidate extra handbags or laptop bags into the permitted pieces. A compliant main bag may be checked without charge when the flight is full; excess size, weight or pieces can incur a charge. LOT does not publish one universal penalty here, so check your booking instead of assuming a €20–40 fee.

Children under 2 receive an 8 kg main bag, a 2 kg personal item and an extra bag of essentials, including in Economy Saver. For a lap infant, a foldable stroller OR car seat travels free; children aged 2–12 or under 2 with their own seat may take both. A child under 2 with a separate seat needs an appropriate child car seat.

Liquids and security

Ordinary liquids use containers up to 100 ml in one transparent resealable 1-litre bag. Necessary medicines, special dietary products and baby food have exceptions; duty-free liquids need appropriate security packaging. Confirm each airport’s rules.

Check your bag

The checker evaluates one bag and has no route selector. Its Business reference is 9 kg per bag on non-US routes; Premium uses the listed mid-haul 9 kg reference. Apply the table yourself for US and long-haul Premium flights, including the 12 kg combined cap.
