Sun Country Carry-On Rules: Sizes, Fees & Tips (2026)

Sun Country includes one small personal item. An overhead bag requires a purchase or a confirmed ticket benefit. Bag size and paid entitlement are separate checks.

Bag limits

The inch dimensions are authoritative. Their exact metric conversions are 43.18 × 33.02 × 22.86 cm and 60.96 × 40.64 × 27.94 cm. Measure the packed exterior, including wheels and handles. Do not round your bag down to a displayed approximation. The personal item has no separate published weight cap in the reviewed contract; this does not establish unlimited weight.

Fees and checked baggage

Check the baggage line on your booking before choosing the paid-bag mode. Current fees depend on the booking; no fixed $35/$50 charge or free first checked bag is established here. Standard checked baggage uses 62 linear inches and 50 lb before excess charges; that is a sum of dimensions, not a 62 cm side. Cabin space can require hold carriage; do not assume jet-bridge return.

Children and preparation

Lap-child cabin items count within the adult allowance. A stroller and car seat may be checked without an additional charge; protect them properly. Cabin car-seat use requires a purchased child seat, an approved restraint and suitable installation. Confirm child eligibility and handover arrangements with the airline. At TSA checkpoints, ordinary liquids use containers up to 100 ml in one quart-sized clear resealable bag, with medical exceptions.
