Transavia Carry-On: Small Bag, Cabin Add-on and 10 kg Total
Check Transavia’s included small bag, paid cabin allowance, combined weight and airport fee differences.
Transavia includes one small bag up to 40×30×20 cm under the seat. A larger 55×40×25 cm cabin bag needs an add-on or a Smart/Max fare. Basic and Plus do not include that larger bag. When both are allowed, their combined weight must not exceed 10 kg; wheels and handles count in the dimensions.
Choose the right allowance
| Booking | Included cabin pieces |
|---|---|
| Basic or Plus without cabin add-on | One small underseat bag |
| Smart, Max or cabin-bag add-on | Small bag plus one overhead bag; 10 kg combined |
Plus checked baggage is not permission for an overhead bag. Arrive for your boarding group; late arrival and operational conditions can affect cabin placement. Measure and weigh both packed items. The checker evaluates one bag and cannot add the weight of several pieces.
Book before arriving
Published add-on prices start at €12.99 one-way, or €39 for Senegal routes, subject to destination and availability. These are starting prices, not a quote for every flight. Check the reservation before online check-in and the published purchase deadline.
The official en-eu fee page lists €60 for an unbooked cabin bag that goes into the hold; en-fr lists €70. The general non-compliance page says €70 or more for excess size or weight. Preserve these different scopes: paying at the gate does not purchase a guaranteed place in the cabin.
Contents and special cases
Transavia describes ordinary liquids in containers up to 100 ml inside one transparent resealable bag up to 1 litre. Check current airport instructions and exceptions. Do not assume a lap infant receives another cabin piece or that a stroller returns at the aircraft door. Confirm family and special-item arrangements before packing.
