Official baggage policy

Under the seat

Personal Item

Included

45×35×20 cm

17.7×13.8×7.9 in

One underseat item for all fares; measurements include pockets, wheels and handles. General FAQ and international fare table specify 10 kg; Brazilian Portuguese regional table specifies 12 kg for Premium cabins. No single cross-cabin weight is modeled because these scopes differ. This is not an unlimited-weight allowance.

Overhead cabin bag

cabin bag

Eligible fare or add-on required

21.7×13.8×9.8 in

Weight limit: 12 kg (26.5 lb)

One main bag: Economy 12 kg, Premium Economy/Business 16 kg, including wheels and handles. Basic excludes it unless purchased. Light is included on the main English page and Spanish fare tables, but the Portuguese international table lists an extra cost; confirm the issued fare and route. Light is not Basic.

Measure the full external bag size, including wheels and handles.

Baggage fees

No reliable fixed price is listed here. Check your booking for the cost of adding a bag; an unlisted price does not mean it is free.

Official baggage policy
How to use this policy

Check cabin bag dimensions, weight and personal-item limits separately. A bag has to pass every published limit at once; being under the length and width limit does not help if the depth, weight, or fare-specific allowance is tighter.

Editorial signal only. Measure the packed bag and verify the operating carrier's rule.

LATAM Airlines liquids policy

LATAM international screening guidance: ordinary liquids in containers up to 100 ml, in one resealable 1-litre bag per passenger. Domestic and departure/transfer exceptions differ; necessary medicines, infant food and dietary items have separate conditions. Do not apply this as a universal domestic restriction or duty-free/customs allowance.

Family & Infants

Infant (under 2)

Lap infant under 2: domestic travel without extra fare; international fare generally 10% of adult fare plus taxes, with free infant fare for departures from Mexico. One extra 45×35×20 cm personal item for the infant. No blanket 10 kg checked-bag allowance established.

Stroller

For children aged 0–11, one folding stroller OR child restraint (car seat/bassinet) travels free. Cabin carriage depends on space; otherwise it goes in the hold. Aircraft-door return is not guaranteed.

Car seat

Onboard use requires an approved child restraint and a purchased seat. The free transport provision is one stroller OR restraint, not two unconditional extra pieces. Children turning 2 during the trip need their own seat for the return journey.

The checker models physical limits and a Basic exclusion, not every branded fare or route. Standard/Full Economy and Premium Economy include one checked 23 kg bag; Premium Business Standard one and Full two 23 kg bags. Basic/Light checked bags cost extra. Standard checked size is 158 cm total. Extra-bag and excess charges depend on route and purchase time; no fixed price is modeled. Published Light and personal-item weight differences are retained explicitly. A compliant included main bag may be checked free when cabin space runs out; paying for an oversized or unpurchased bag at the gate does not guarantee cabin carriage.
