Aeromexico carry-on: 10 or 15 kg combined, by fare and route

Aeromexico’s included cabin allowance is one main bag plus one personal item, with 10 or 15 kg combined, depending on the fare and route. The main bag is limited to 55 × 40 × 25 cm. Light excludes the main bag where that fare is offered; Light and Básica are different fares.

Which combined weight applies?

The current table has separate rows for Mexico, Canada, Central America/Caribbean, South America, Brazil/Argentina/Chile, Europe, Asia and certain through-routes. Select the row matching the itinerary; do not classify every connection solely by the final airport. Light appears in the Mexico, Central America/Caribbean and South America rows with the option to buy a 10 kg main bag. “Does not apply” in another row does not mean the bag is included.

Weigh both pieces together

At a 10 kg combined limit, an 8 kg suitcase plus a 3 kg backpack exceeds the allowance. Under a confirmed 15 kg allowance, that same pair is below the weight limit. Both pieces must still satisfy their size and storage requirements.

The personal item must fit under the seat; the current page does not publish numerical dimensions. Do not turn a retailer’s “personal item” label into a guaranteed fit. A duty-free shopping bag is not an unconditional additional piece. Measure the packed exterior of the main bag and leave room for purchases.

AM Plus and Premier

AM Plus does not have a universal 14 kg allowance. Premier does not provide two main cabin bags. Both follow the branded fare and regional combined-weight table above. Checked baggage is separate: the reviewed Premier table gives Basic one 32 kg bag and Classic/Flex two 32 kg bags, with a standard 158 cm total per piece. Main and AM Plus checked inclusion varies by route; a Classic ticket is not a universal free checked bag.

Children and baggage at the gate

The current infant page permits two infant articles, such as a stroller/bassinet and diaper bag. International infant travel adds a bag up to 25 kg and 115 cm total; older agency guidance says 23 kg, so confirm any conflicting booking entitlement. Under-2 stroller carriage is free up to 115 cm total under the family FAQ; larger items may be charged. From age 2, the stroller counts as the first checked bag at the applicable rate. Cabin car seats require a paid seat and certification for motor vehicles and aircraft.

Compliant bags may be placed in the hold without extra charge for operational reasons. Oversize or overweight baggage has different conditions and may incur charges. There is no verified universal USD 25/50 fee or guaranteed overhead-bin space.

Use the checker with the ticket

The checker’s basic-fare profile represents Light, not Básica. For Básica, choose Economy and apply the published 10 kg combined cap. Generic Economy, AM Plus and Business selections do not resolve route-specific weight: a size result alone does not confirm weight or booking entitlement.
