Aeromexico checked bags: fare and route tables

A Classic ticket does not universally include a checked bag on Aeromexico. The current official table varies by route and branded fare. Standard Main and AM Plus checked pieces are up to 25 kg when included or purchased; Premier pieces are up to 32 kg. The standard size is 158 cm as the sum of the three dimensions.

Main and AM Plus: compare the actual route

The following are examples from the current regional table, before any individually confirmed status or card benefit. “Purchase” means that the fare does not include that checked piece; it is not a quote for the price.

Light, where offered, has a purchase option for checked baggage. It is a distinct fare from Básica. A region marked “does not apply” for Light does not establish a free bag.

Connections have their own rows

Do not apply the direct United States or Europe row to every through-ticket. The table has separate through-route categories. For example, the United States–Asia row shows Main Classic one 25 kg bag and Main Flex two; AM Plus Basic/Classic one and AM Plus Flex two. The South America–United States row lists one 25 kg bag for Main Classic/Flex and AM Plus Classic/Flex, with purchase required for the Basic families. Central America/Caribbean–United States has a different row.

Match the entire itinerary and the exact fare name. For a mixed-carrier or codeshare booking, read the baggage allowance printed on the ticket and ask for clarification if the carriers’ websites differ. Do not assume a single blanket alliance rule or that changing aircraft resets the allowance.

Premier and Premier One

These quantities appear across the reviewed Premier/Premier One regional rows. Each standard bag is limited to 158 cm total. Premier One availability depends on the actual aircraft and service offered; an international flight is not automatically Premier One.

The cabin allowance is separate: one main bag plus a personal item, 10 or 15 kg combined by fare and route, with the main bag up to 55 × 40 × 25 cm. Two checked Premier bags do not mean two large cabin bags.

Fees, status and infant baggage

Use the booking’s baggage purchase screen and the official excess-baggage page for a quote. An extra piece, excess weight and oversize are different questions. This guide does not establish a universal USD 25/50 price, a per-kilogram charging formula or an exception allowing a 45 kg bag. Confirm acceptance as well as price before arriving with an unusual item.

Check any Aeromexico Rewards, partner-status or card benefit against its own route, fare and passenger conditions. Do not add hypothetical one-, two- and three-bag tier bonuses or assume benefits stack for companions.

The current passenger page gives infants two eligible baby articles and an additional international bag up to 25 kg and 115 cm total. An older agency article says 23 kg; confirm a conflicting ticket instead of silently applying the older number. Domestic and international infant ticket charges also differ. A stroller for a child aged 2 or older counts as a first checked bag at the applicable rate under the family FAQ.

Booking checklist

1. Record the itinerary, operating carriers and full branded fare name.
2. Select the matching regional row, including through-route rows where relevant.
3. Confirm the number of included pieces, weight of each and total dimensions.
4. Add only documented status/card or infant benefits.
5. Obtain a quote for additional or nonstandard baggage and save the confirmation.
6. Follow the departure airport and booking instructions for bag-drop deadlines and transfers; do not plan around a claimed US preclearance facility at Mexico City.
