Allegiant Air Carry-On Rules & Bag Size Guide 2026

Allegiant includes one under-seat personal item without a bag charge. An overhead carry-on is a paid option. The airline recommends reserving checked and carry-on bags before arriving at the airport, where prices are higher.

The personal item must fit completely under the seat in front of you. A purse, briefcase or small backpack may qualify if it fits. The carry-on must fit in the overhead bin. Both size limits include wheels, pockets, handles and other protrusions. The current baggage page does not state a universal 40 lb or 30 lb weight allowance for these cabin items.

Bag fees

Allegiant says carry-on and checked-bag fees vary by route, segment and purchase time. Its optional-fees page lists a carry-on price range, but that is not an individual booking quote or a fixed gate fee. An oversized personal item can incur an airport baggage fee. Use your reservation's price when comparing a paid carry-on with checked baggage.

The current baggage page states a 50 lb standard checked-bag limit, with extra charges for heavier bags. It says one stroller and one child safety seat may be checked without charge for each fare-paying passenger, either at the ticket counter or gate. Those rules are separate from the personal-item allowance.
